5/8/2023 0 Comments Dri crash plan![]() To that end, I've been looking at 4 bay NAS devices at the upper end of the home spectrum: the TS-451+, TS-451A and DS416play. Running VMs on a NAS seems like a novelty to me at this point. Media streaming or use as a home media PC isn't something I'd do initially, though I'd love to keep the door open to potentially play with that in the future, if it doesn't add significant cost (I mostly use Roku devices with Internet streaming services today). I'm also interested in using it for remote VPN access via L2TP (my router only does PPTP and OpenVPN and I'd prefer to use something else), and possibly running CrashPlan on it for cloud backup of data. My primary usage scenarios are: backups from 3-4 PCs, shared file storage for music, photos and documents. I'm in the market for my first NAS device.
